Meet the Founder

My name is Yoon H. Cho, and I am the founder of Fortified Minds LLC. My commitment to this work is driven by the belief that mental resilience is not just an innate trait, but a skill set that can be cultivated, strengthened, and refined through intentional practice.

As an Applied Psychology student at the University of Illinois Chicago and a clinical professional, I have dedicated my career to understanding the intersections of human behavior, systemic influence, and personal agency. My approach is built upon evidence-based frameworks, specifically Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I believe these modalities provide the necessary tools to help individuals move beyond simply coping with life’s challenges to actively thriving in them.
